Puoltikasvaara is located 5 miles north of Gällivare, beautifully situated by Lake Soutujärvi. The children in our school come from the villages of Skaulo, Puoltikasvaara and Moskojärvi. Puoltikasvaara school is a small school for pupils in preschool class and grades 1-4, where the classes consist of few pupils. The school is located in the same building as the preschool and works closely with both the preschool and the after-school program. The school has recently been renovated and offers a very nice indoor environment with well thought-out learning environments

Duties

You are the teacher responsible for teaching a class. The teaching is conducted in B-form. You are part of both work teams and subject teams where you, together with other educators, are responsible for all students' learning in the work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher. You need to have the knowledge to handle computers and technology in your daily work. You should be responsible, clear and driven and have an easy time creating good relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. Commitment, innovation, interest and ability to cooperate are qualities that the school values. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Extracts from the police criminal record are a requirement before employment.

Arbetstid/Varaktighet

Full-time, permanent employment if you have a license as a teacher, probationary period may be applied. If you do not have a license, the employment will be from April 1 until June 17, 2026.
