Gällivare Lapland Airport is now looking for an economist/controller who wants to contribute to the development of one of the region's most important infrastructures. The airport, which is run as a company from 2025-01-01, is 100% owned by Gällivare municipality. The airport is part of the national transport infrastructure with passenger traffic, medical transports and with a mission as a state emergency airport. About the position As an economist/operations controller with us, you will have a broad and varied assignment with responsibility for financial follow-up, budgets, forecasts, compliance, audits and analyses. You work closely with the airport management and are an important support in the strategic work for sustainable and efficient operations. The airport uses the Fortnox financial system and collaborates with an accounting firm for its financial and payroll administration. Your main tasks: - Preparation of budgets, financial statements and ongoing financial monitoring - Performance and cost analysis - Support to the organization in financial matters - Reporting to the board and owners - Participation in development projects and process improvements - Support in procurement and contracts - Analysis of revenues and costs related to air traffic, ground handling and commercial activities We are looking for you who have: - University degree in finance, accounting or equivalent - A few years of experience in financial work, preferably from both the public sector and business - Good analytical skills and used to working independently - Experience of financial systems and very good knowledge of Excel - You should be fluent in Swedish As a person, you are thorough, communicative and thrive in a role where you get to switch between strategic and operational work. You are easy to collaborate with and are driven by seeing results in the form of improved finances and efficient operations.
