Description of activities

As a first teacher in Gällivare municipality, your mission is to act as a positive, educational role model by developing collegial learning in your unit but also in the whole of Gällivare municipality. As a first teacher, you already have your teaching position at the school and vacant teaching positions are advertised separately. In the work as a first teacher, you work together with another first teacher to support all staff groups in the municipality in the work of strengthening the educational development work to achieve higher goal achievement in the subject of Swedish.

Tasks

In essence, you work as a first teacher on behalf of the children and education administration with responsibility for:

- Teaching and other tasks related to teaching.
- General didactic development.
- Systematic quality work.
- Supervising other teachers.
- Leading processes aimed at the school's increased goal attainment.

Being a first teacher in Gällivare municipality also means that you, on behalf of the administration, are responsible for: development through collegial learning at the municipal / administrative level within the framework of Swedish.

Qualifications

You must have a teaching license, four years of proven service as a teacher, good ability to improve results, strong interest in developing teaching and be particularly qualified for teaching / tasks related to this. To succeed in the role, we expect you to be a clear leader with the ability to build and maintain good relationships with students, staff and parents. You have a particularly good ability to maintain focus on goal achievement through follow-up and analysis. Your view of school development is based on modern school research and you have a clear focus on results and the ability to see the overall school organization as a learning organization. great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

100%, fixed-term employment (general fixed-term) of three years. The assignment must fit within regular working hours and must be included in the work schedule.

Salary

Monthly salary. as a first teacher is paid with the teacher's regular salary plus SEK 5000 a month.
