Business description

Tallbackaskolan is a F-6 school with about 325 students as well as an after-school department and two preparatory classes, located in a residential area between Gällivare and Malmberget. At Tallbackaskolan we work with parts of the Gällivare model, which means that in each class in grades 1-2 there is a teacher responsible for teaching and a class mentor. In grades 3-6, a teacher responsible for teaching works with the support of a class mentor who may be attached to one or more classes. The central student health service is located at the school and students have access to a school counselor, school nurse, 2 special educators, school psychologist and the principals. The after-school program is a complement to the school where students' abilities are developed through various forms of expression and based on the students' interests.

Duties

As a first teacher, you have an extended role with pedagogical management responsibility, where the focus is on developing and improving teaching at the school and supporting colleagues in their work, while continuing to teach.

In essence, you work as a first teacher on behalf of the responsible principal with responsibility for:

• Teaching and other tasks related to teaching.
• General didactic development.
• Systematic quality work.
• Supervising other teachers.
• Leading processes aimed at the school's increased goal achievement.

Tallbackaskolan's first teacher assignment will be aimed at developing and training around investigations, adaptations, and support documents within NPF (Neuropsychiatric Disability).

Qualifications

You must have a teaching license, four years of proven service as a teacher, good ability to improve results, strong interest in developing teaching and be particularly qualified for teaching / tasks associated with this. To succeed in the role of First Teacher, we expect you to be a clear leader with the ability to build and maintain good relationships with students, staff and parents. You have a particularly good ability to keep focus on goal achievement through follow-up and analysis. Your view of school development is based on current school research and you have a clear focus on results and the ability to see the overall school organization as a learning organization. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

As a first teacher, you will be offered a fixed-term employment of three years.

Salary

The fixed-term employment (special fixed-term employment) as a first teacher is paid with the teacher's regular salary plus SEK 5000 per month. The assignment must fit within regular working hours and must be included in the work schedule.
