The mission of the Growth and Attractiveness Department is to create the conditions for long-term and sustainable growth and an attractive municipality to live in. In Gällivare municipality, social transformation is currently underway combined with an expansive mining industry. We are also facing major industrial investments in the future and thus have an increased need for labor. The focus of the department is to coordinate, initiate and drive growth and attractiveness work that is strategically important for Gällivare municipality.

Duties

You will work with all our internal and external communication relating to Gällivare municipality, via the municipality's channels.

• Write texts for the website and social media and monitor and respond to comments.
• Research and develop news that happens in the organization.
• You are good at shaping and conveying messages.
• Monitor events in the municipality and keep abreast of what is happening on issues.

Qualifications

- Relevant university degree in communication and marketing.
- Experience in communication consulting and strategic communication planning.
- Very good ability to write and adapt texts for different audiences and channels.
- Experience of working with publishing tools and digital channels.

Advantageous if you have experience of working with crisis communication and working in public or municipal operations.

In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
