Business description

The position is located in the Property Management Unit, which is one of the units within the Property and Services Department of the Public Works and Technology Administration. The Property and Services Department is responsible for the municipality's properties, cleaning, housing adaptations, car pool and public transport.

Duties

As Head of the Property Operations Unit, you are responsible for your team consisting of operations managers and operations technicians. You have staff, work environment and financial responsibility for the unit. The work includes working with our managers on maintenance planning, optimizing operations, setting requirements for procurement, etc. You will be responsible for ensuring that the technical operation of the property portfolio is developed according to established goals and plans. The service includes analyzing, prioritizing and coordinating operational work according to the established budget. You will be responsible for streamlining and developing working methods, routines and processes, as well as for regulatory requirements including self-monitoring of properties. You will carry out direct procurement and call off framework agreements in accordance with LOU. You will also lead smaller operation and maintenance projects.

Qualifications

You have a technical education or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent. Experience of working in a supervisory position is an advantage. It is important that you also have the ability and interest to manage finances. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and being able to see the big picture and easy to cooperate with other activities in the municipality. The position involves administrative work and therefore good computer skills are required. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
