Business description

The municipality's overall support and development function mainly includes the functions of human resources, finance, purchasing, IT, information/communication, administrative services and growth and attractiveness. The function shall ensure the municipality's ability to meet the future, where digitization, communication and business development are three priority areas to strengthen. The administration is subordinate to the municipal board.

Work tasks

Do you want to be involved in influencing Gällivare municipality's work environment, health and rehabilitation work? As an HR consultant specializing in work environment, health and rehabilitation, you will be part of our HR team consisting of 14 people consisting of HR consultants, salary-pension and PA system developers. The department works together to provide managers with the best possible conditions for carrying out their work. You will have the opportunity to drive, lead, develop and work proactively in the work environment, health and rehabilitation area overall, where the focus is on operational support for both managers and employees. It is important that you can switch between having a strategic and operational focus, and that you can easily move between both organizational and individual levels.

The work involves close collaboration with colleagues in the team and other activities, but you also need to be independent and be able to run your own projects and issues. Some examples of work tasks:

  • provide expert support in the subject area of work environment, health and rehab including organizational and social work environment.
  • Drive, develop and work / support managers in the work of rehabilitation in individual cases and ensure rehabilitation work in the municipality.
  • Drive and develop preventive work and initiate and be responsible for the implementation and follow-up of various health promotion initiatives and wellness activities.
  • Lead, plan and conduct training in the work environment, health and rehabilitation for mainly managers and safety representatives.

Work with agreements and procurement regarding systems and services linked to occupational health care. Monitor laws and AFSs and, where appropriate, implement changes. be the contact person for external parties such as occupational health care, the insurance fund, the work environment authority. Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic education in HR, work environment or rehabilitation or other focus that the employer considers equivalent. We would like you to have a few years of experience in complex rehabilitation cases or preventive work environment work. It is an advantage if you have experience of similar work in municipal operations. As a person, you need to independently drive processes, be analytical, trust-building and have the ability to meet people in the situation they are in. You are good at building good relationships, initiating collaboration and cooperation, but you are also a good communicator with a strong drive to develop the municipality's rehabilitation work. As support for managers, you need to be pedagogical in your way of explaining/training with good ability to listen, identify needs, make individuals' resources visible and come up with proposals for solutions that make progress in the rehabilitation process.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is an administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
