Business description

Gällivare municipality's vision is a world-class Arctic small town - a place where confidence in the future, community development and quality of life go hand in hand. The IT department is a strategic enabler in the municipality's digital journey and works to simplify everyday life for our businesses and citizens through innovative, secure and efficient IT services. Now we are looking for you who want to help shape the social services of the future through smart digital solutions in an organization that makes a real difference.

Work tasks

Are you skilled at getting technology and business to pull in the same direction? Gällivare municipality is looking for an IT Administration Manager with a focus on social administration systems. Here you will have a central role in ensuring that our digital tools are safe, effective and adapted to the human needs they are there to support in everyday life. As the bridge between technology and people, you will ensure that our systems support those who support others.

In the role of administration manager, you will be the natural link between the social administration and the IT department. Your main task is to drive the management and further development of the social services' system support, where Pulsen Combine and its e-services are your first priority. Your journey will start with securing and optimizing Combine, to eventually grow into an overall responsibility for the administration's complete system flora. You will balance the need for stable operations with leading the introduction of new solutions that meet tomorrow's requirements. You will play an important role in translating business needs into practical solutions. Right now, we are facing an exciting period where we are adapting our work processes and system support based on the new Social Services Act - here you will be a key person to ensure that technology facilitates this shift for our employees.

  • Leading and developing the administration: You plan and coordinate the work in the administrative area. You also help to further develop the municipality's common management model and establish structures that can be spread to more business areas.
  • Coordinate resources and projects: You act as the link between the business and IT specialists. If necessary, you step in as project manager when introducing new functionality or completely new system solutions.
  • Strategic follow-up: You keep track of the situation by following up key figures, costs and incidents. You report the status to steering groups and managers, where you use your analysis to identify and propose areas for improvement.
  • Business development: You ensure that the systems support our work processes and maintain a close dialogue with the business about future needs, for example in welfare technology.
  • Collaboration and dialog: You manage the contact with the supplier Pulsen Omsorg and represent Gällivare in regional networks in Norrbotten to drive joint improvements.

We are looking for you who thrive in a role that requires both structure and the ability to build trusting relationships. You have good communication skills and can explain IT-related issues in a way that is understandable to the business. You are analytical and like to use business data to make wise decisions that drive development forward.

Qualifications

  • Relevant university education (for example in IT, systems science or public administration) or equivalent skills acquired through work experience.
  • Experience in leading management work or IT-related projects.
  • Ability to work in a structured way with follow-up and reporting to management teams. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
  • Additional: Experience of social services operations, the Pulsen Combine system or management models such as pm3.
  • Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
