Gällivare Municipality is looking for a driven IT technician who wants to help shape the digital solutions of the future in our world-class Arctic town! At Gällivare Municipality’s IT department, our mission is to simplify day-to-day operations for the municipality through innovative, attractive, efficient, and secure IT services. We’re entering an exciting period where we’ll be taking the municipality’s IT environment to new heights, with a focus on enhanced security, automated operations, and improved monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

As our new IT Technician, you will:

• Be the heart of our user support, where you’ll solve technical challenges and guide colleagues through our digital world
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and optimize our systems for the best possible performance and security
• Participate in our case and incident management, where you’ll be a key player in keeping our support and IT infrastructure in top condition

We’re looking for someone who

• Is deeply committed to IT support and has a genuine interest in technology
• Is a positive team player with excellent communication skills
• Has a relevant IT education or equivalent knowledge
• Wants to work with the latest technology in client management, networking, and security, and enjoys learning and developing.

Desirable qualifications

• Documented experience in IT support or IT infrastructure
• Knowledge of one of the minority languages: Sami, Meänkieli, or Finnish
• Hold a Class B driver’s license
