
Description of Operations
The Health and Social Care Department consists of four nursing and care homes and a short-term care unit for the elderly. The administration has an assistive device storage room that the department’s custodian uses for handling and cleaning assistive devices, as well as for storing various items.
Job Responsibilities
As a custodian in the Health and Social Care Department, you will be responsible for simple maintenance, repairs, and servicing at our nursing and care homes. Your duties also include the transport, cleaning, and maintenance of assistive devices. You will also perform a number of cross-departmental tasks. Transporting medications is a regular part of the job.
Qualifications
You must have at least a high school diploma. The role requires a high degree of flexibility, and a service-oriented mindset is essential, as tasks may vary and the need to resolve identified problems is central to the role. Collaboration with nurses, rehabilitation staff, unit managers, and healthcare personnel is a key aspect of the role. You have relevant work experience. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a plus when applying for a position with Gällivare Municipality.
A Class B driver’s license is required
