In March 2019, Gällivare municipality opened Aurora preschool in the middle area near Tallbacka preschool. Aurora preschool consists of four departments near inspiring forest and nature. We are now looking for an active nursery nurse who is passionate about developing a preschool where children and staff thrive and develop together. The departments are placed in pairs in the building and the groups are divided by age from 1-3 years in one corner of the building and 3-5 years in the other. In the center of the preschool there is a square as a natural meeting place for play and exploration for the whole building. The preschool has a courtyard that creates great opportunities to work with nature and the outdoor environment as an important part of the children's learning environment. You will be part of teams that work between the departments to actively develop learning environments where children's influence, exploration and learning are at the center and where collegial learning is a matter of course. It is the children's own interests and abilities that should guide the activities, which promotes the opportunity for all educators to work together with the children in an exploratory way. We have a strong collaboration throughout the house. The idea that all children are everyone's children is strong.

Work tasks

As a childminder, you are responsible, together with others in the team, for participating in planning, implementing activities and reflection in the team and implementing the systematic quality work in collaboration with other colleagues and teams at the preschool. The children should be given new challenges and receive support and stimulation for their development and learning. You actively interact with guardians based on the preschool's mission and always with the best interests of the children in focus.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with childcare training, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. We are looking for you who want to be part of developing our exciting business. It is important that you are familiar with our governing documents. Our mission is based on the Curriculum for Preschool 2018. You are a clear leader, independent, responsible and easy to take your own initiatives. Of course, you are positive and have faith in the children's skills and want to develop their abilities. You are interested in using digital tools and are keen to build trusting relationships with children and parents and have good collaboration skills. You are happy to use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work or are willing to learn more about this. You are interested in developing the preschool and, among other things, the learning environments and that you know a minority language can be an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Requirement for employment - extract from the police criminal record.

In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Full time 100%, daytime. Temporary 3 months with the possibility of extension.
