Hello! Are you our new colleague at EMMA preschool?

EMMA preschool is located in Mettä-Dokkas and right next to Emmaskolan. Gällivare town is about three miles away. The preschool has two departments with 18 children in each group, 1-5 years. The departments share a hall and a large playroom - Torget. The preschool also has a large and lovely studio that offers many opportunities for creation and exploration. The two departments - Skogsgläntan and Skogstrollet - work together.

In the preschool we meet our children in their first education and in their first steps in lifelong learning and there you as an educator are important.

Arbetsuppgifter

The preschool curriculum (Lpfö18) describes the preschool's values and mission and contains goals and guidelines for the work in the preschool. Children in preschool should receive a safe education where care, development and learning form a whole.

The work as a nursery nurse means that you, together with the team, design a safe and developing education for the children at the preschool. The work is challenging, exciting, creative and takes place in close collaboration with your team and colleagues at the preschool.

As a childcare worker, you are part of a team and participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the teaching offered to the children. You collaborate with the team and you offer the children a fun and educational education and teaching.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nanny or you who are studying to become a nanny.

It is important:

- that you are familiar with our governing document, the Curriculum for preschool (Lpfö18),

- that you are a confident and clear leader, have the ability to take your own initiative, are positive and have faith in children's different competencies,

- that you are concerned about trusting relationships with children and guardians and that you have good collaboration skills,

- that you use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work,

- that you use picture support and TAKK (sign as alternative and complementary communication),

- that you are interested in developing the preschool.

Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and personal suitability.

In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
