Description of activities
The Social Administration conducts statutory activities with the support of the Social Services Act, the Health Care Act and the Act on Support and Services for Certain Disabled Persons. The Social Services Administration shall, on the basis of democracy, promote people's economic and social security, equality in living conditions and active participation in community life, but also provide good care, health care and services to the elderly, people with disabilities and others who need social support. The Social Services Department consists of the Assistance Unit, the Care Unit, the Functional Support Unit, the Home Care Unit, the Management Support Organization and the Health Care Organization. As a nurse in the health care organization, you will be part of our unit nurses with assignments in special housing or with assignments at our short-term unit.
Work tasks
As a registered nurse, you are responsible for health care efforts in Care and Care Homes / short-term housing. The assignment includes coordinating good care and care, where you are part of the teamwork around the individual and his relatives. The assignment also includes supervision in the work team. As a daytime nurse, you will work as a nurse in charge of nursing. You will work with one or more colleagues, depending on the type of accommodation. We are a total of about 30 nurses in the team distributed in different areas. But we have close collaboration between colleagues and units and the medically responsible nurse at the municipality.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse, meritorious if you have further education that is suitable for the assignment or experience of similar work. You should be confident in working independently but also be confident in working in a team with other staff and preferably be solution-focused and flexible. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
B driving license is required.

Working hours/Duration
100% Permanent. Working days with some weekend work. Probationary period may apply.
