
Description of Operations
The Social Services Administration carries out activities mandated by law in accordance with the Social Services Act, the Health and Medical Care Act, and the Act on Support and Services for Certain Persons with Disabilities. Based on democratic principles, the Social Services Administration shall promote people’s economic and social security, equality in living conditions, and active participation in society, while also providing quality care, health and medical care, and services to older adults, people with disabilities, and others who need societal support.
The Social Services Administration consists of the Assistance Unit, the Department of Health and Social Care, the Department of Functional Support, the Department of Home Care, as well as the Management Support Organization and the Health and Medical Care Organization.
We need to strengthen our team with a nurse.
Job Responsibilities
As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for providing health and medical care in patients’ homes. The role involves coordinating patient care, where you will be part of the team in the Healthcare Organization, based in the home healthcare unit. The home health care unit currently employs 8 nurses, a coordinating nurse, and a nursing assistant.
The home health care nurses work closely with the region’s health centers and with the palliative care advisory team.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with several years of experience as a nurse, preferably with experience in municipal health care. Experience as a district nurse is a plus. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a plus when applying for a position with Gällivare Municipality.
A Class B driver’s license is required, as the position involves some driving.
Work Hours/Duration
Permanent, full-time position. A probationary period may apply. Work hours are currently during the day, with some weekend work. Reduced working hours, meaning you will work full-time 35.20 hours per week.
