Description of Operations

Home Care consists of seven units: North, South, Near, East, the Support Unit, the Night Unit, and the Resource Unit. All units, except for those in rural areas, are co-located on Upplagsvägen together with home health care nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. Through interventions tailored to individual needs, we strengthen each person’s ability to manage their daily life and enable them to continue living in a safe and familiar environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant/care aide at Home Care East, you will provide services and personal care to clients in their own homes. We prioritize quality and safety for our clients. The goal is satisfied clients, with their needs forming the basis for the services provided. You will also serve as a contact person, ensuring the client’s involvement in their care plan. Documentation is an important part of your duties. In our operations, we use, among other tools, Pulsen Combine, TES, and DF Respons.

At Hemvården Östra, based in Dokkas, there is some travel to the villages of Ullatti and Hakkas.

Qualifications

Training as a nursing assistant or other education deemed equivalent. We are looking for someone who is a team player, positive, and flexible. You recognize the importance of good communication and treat clients, their relatives, and your coworkers with respect. Computers and cell phones are used as work tools, so you should have strong digital skills as well as a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Proficiency in any of these languages is considered an asset when applying for employment with Gällivare Municipality.

A driver’s license is required.

Work Hours/Duration

Permanent full-time position (100%). Shifts include day, evening, and weekend hours. A probationary period may apply.

Monthly salary. We use an individual salary-setting process; please indicate your salary expectations in your application.
