Nursing Assistants for Home Care South

Description of Operations

Home Care consists of seven units: North, South, Near, East, the Support Unit, the Night Unit, and the Resource Unit. All units, except for those in rural areas, are co-located on Upplagsvägen together with home health care nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists.

Through interventions tailored to individual needs, we strengthen each person’s ability to manage their daily life and enable them to continue living in a safe and familiar environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant at Hemvården Södra, you will provide services, personal care, and social support to clients in their own homes. You will bring joy and a sense of security and serve as a responsive point of contact. Our clients have individual needs and preferences, and we strive to match staff to these as much as possible through planning within the workgroup.

The work involves planning, implementing, following up on, and documenting care services in accordance with the organization’s quality goals. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and other professionals to ensure the best possible care. The role also includes serving as a representative within the team.

Computers and cell phones are used as work tools, and it is desirable that you have good computer skills. Your duties include documenting and communicating with various parties, which requires strong proficiency in spoken and written Swedish

In our operations, we use, among other tools, Pulsen Combine, TES, Skyresponse, and DF Respons.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Has nursing training or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Have knowledge, experience, or a genuine interest in working in home care.
• Are flexible, meticulous, and have a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Can express yourself well, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish.
• Possess strong digital skills.
• Thrive in both teamwork and independent responsibility.
• A driver’s license is required.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Gällivare Municipality is an administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a plus.

Work Hours/Duration

Full-time position (100%). Day/evening/weekend shifts

Permanent position. A probationary period may apply.
