
Description of Operations
The Home Care Division provides home care services in private residences and employs licensed healthcare professionals for home nursing care.The Department of Home Health Care is responsible for services provided by nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists in both ordinary residences (home health care) and special housing facilities.
Job Responsibilities
As an occupational therapist, you will have a strong knowledge of assistive technology and be responsible for assessing and evaluating the need for occupational therapy services. You are responsible for the occupational therapy component of rehabilitation efforts in both ordinary and special housing settings within the fields of elder care, disability care, and psychiatry. Your professional role includes prescribing and fitting assistive devices, as well as conducting ADL assessments. Supervising and training nursing staff in activities of daily living is an important part of the job. As a licensed professional, you are also responsible for documenting the interventions that are planned, implemented, and evaluated.

Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. You enjoy working in a team, are flexible, and see solutions to problems.You have a holistic approach and a strong ability to analyze and reflect from different perspectives, and you can find solutions based on needs and situations. You collaborate well with colleagues, clients, and the client’s support network, and you have a responsive, coaching, and supportive approach. You have strong planning and prioritization skills, both independently and with the support of your colleagues and immediate supervisor. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability; experience working as an occupational therapist in the municipality is a plus. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a plus when applying for a position with Gällivare Municipality. &
