Description of Operations
The Department of Community Development and Technology includes the Real Estate and Services Division, which is responsible for the municipality’s real estate, property management, food services, facility maintenance, housing modifications, carpooling, and public transportation.
Within the Property Operations unit, we work as a team consisting of operations technicians, operations managers, an administrator, and a unit manager. Together, we are responsible for ensuring that the operation of Gällivare Municipality’s properties runs smoothly for our tenants.
Property Operations underwent development in 2025 and transitioned to an updated property management system. The purpose of the new system is to improve, simplify, and clarify the administrative work related to operational tasks—both for our own operations and for our tenants and contractor contacts. Gällivare Municipality is also constructing new properties, where Property Operations plays a central role in commissioning them.
We are now looking for another operations technician who wants to join our team, where problem-solving and collaboration are the cornerstones of our work. We offer a dynamic position with varied workdays and the opportunity to solve technical challenges and optimize operations in our properties. Are you the person we’re looking for?
Job Responsibilities
As an operations technician, you’ll alternate between property maintenance and property operations; the tasks are varied, and you’ll work both independently and alongside colleagues. As an operations technician, you’ll have many contacts both internally and externally, which requires you to be a team player and service-oriented when interacting with our tenants.
The job includes:
