The personnel work in Gällivare municipality is centralized to the Personnel Department. Our mission is to provide the administrations with professional support and service in the entire personnel area. We work as advisors, trainers, specialists and strategists, but also with operational personnel work such as payroll and personnel administration. We are responsible for the administration and management of the personnel system and other HR systems.
Duties
As Payroll Manager with systems and development responsibility, you will combine leadership of the payroll department with strategic responsibility for systems management and development of the HR systems. You will report directly to the Head of Human Resources. You ensure a legally secure and efficient payroll process, lead a competent team in the payroll unit and drive digitization and automation to create a modern and user-friendly HR and payroll management.
You are responsible for the management and operation of Gällivare Municipality's various HR systems such as Personec P and others and take care of the entire chain independently and together with system managers. The area of responsibility includes working actively to ensure that the systems are used and run in a uniform, efficient and reliable manner.
The work partly includes user support, planning of deployments, troubleshooting, configuration, execution of salaries and investigations with tasks related to setting up / configuring technical environments together with system managers but also through collaboration with IT managers. Some programming may also be part of the job. In the role, you are also responsible for information, training, development and support to users as well as contacts with the supplier about the functioning of the system.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
