Description of activities

The Department of Disability is part of the Social Administration. Personal assistance is a right that enables people with severe disabilities to live as independent a life as possible. The support should always be personalized and the individual has the right to choose who will work as a personal assistant.

Work tasks

We are looking for assistants for male users, the assignments according to the user's wishes. Being a personal assistant means a varied job with versatile tasks that are adapted and designed together with the individual. The tasks are governed by the individual's needs and the working hours are spread throughout the year. The workplace is located in central Gällivare.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a nursing education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You should be calm, confident and responsive to the needs of the user and good at working independently. As a person, you should be flexible, master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. It is an advantage if you have experience of working in health and social care, personal assistance or other experience that can be deemed equivalent. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration
