Description of Operations

The Culture School in Gällivare Municipality is the municipality’s largest program offering arts education for children and youth. The program offers instruction in music, dance, drama, visual arts, and music production.

We are now looking to hire a substitute piano instructor for our program.

Job Responsibilities

Work with the Culture School’s piano program. Work with both individual students and in groups, as well as with the school’s outreach programs.

Qualifications

College of Music, folk high school, or equivalent. We place great value on your personal qualities. We also look for someone who enjoys collaborating with the Culture School’s teaching staff, the cultural department, and elementary and high schools.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

The position requires a criminal background check.

Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Proficiency in any of these languages is considered an asset when applying for employment with Gällivare Municipality.

Work Hours/Duration

100% temporary position from November 2, 2026, through June 15, 2027

Evening and weekend work may be required
