Description of Operations

Myrans Preschool has four classes with 18 children in each group, ages 1–5. The preschool is beautifully situated in a quiet residential area where the playground is large with great play areas, and the forest is right outside the fence.

We are now looking for two substitute preschool teachers for Myrans Preschool!

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you will be responsible for educational activities based on the preschool curriculum (Lpfö). Planning, implementation, and reflection together with the work team, as well as collaboration across all departments, are essential. The children should be given new challenges and receive support and stimulation in their social development.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified and licensed preschool teacher.

We are looking for someone who wants to help develop our exciting program. It is important:

• that you are thoroughly familiar with our guiding documents
• that you are a clear leader, independent, responsible, and able to take initiative
• that you are positive and have confidence in the children’s abilities
• that you are interested in using digital tools (computer, camera, voice recorder)
• that you value trusting relationships with children and parents and have strong collaboration skills
• that you use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work
• that you are interested in developing the preschool and, among other things, the learning environments

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is considered an asset when applying for a position with Gällivare Municipality.

This position requires an extract from the Police’s Suspicion and Criminal Record Registry.
