Hello! Are you our new preschool teacher at EMMA preschool?

EMMA preschool is located in Mettä-Dokkas and right next to Emmaskolan. It is about three miles to Gällivare town. The preschool has two departments with 18 children in each group, 1-5 years. The departments share a hall and a large playroom - Torget. The preschool also has a large and lovely studio that offers many opportunities for creation and exploration. The two departments - Skogsgläntan and Skogstrollet - work together.

In the preschool we meet our children in their first education and in their first step in lifelong learning and there you as an educator are important. We are now looking for 2 preschool teachers for EMMA preschool!

Tasks

You as a preschool teacher are part of a team and are responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the teaching offered to the children. You collaborate with the team and you offer the children a fun and educational teaching and training. As a preschool teacher, you have a special responsibility to lead the goal-oriented processes and in teaching be responsible for

• care, development and learning form a whole
• planning and implementation are based on the curriculum and on the knowledge and experiences that the children have previously acquired,
• spontaneous activities and interests, everyday activities and routines in the preschool become part of the teaching, and
• develop educational content and environments that inspire development and learning and that challenge and stimulate children's interest and curiosity and keep their attention.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher.

It is important:

• that you are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lpfö18),
• that you are a confident and clear leader, take initiative, are positive and have faith in children's different competencies. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and personal suitability.
• that you have knowledge of and use different learning tools,
• that you have trusting relationships with children and guardians and that you have good collaboration skills,
• that you use educational conversations and educational documentation in your work,
• that you use image support and TAKK (sign as alternative and complementary communication),
• that you develop and drive the preschool forward according to the curriculum.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position.
• Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

The position requires an extract from the Police's criminal record, https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/skola-eller-forskola/ and that you present a valid identity card showing citizenship and a valid work permit.

Working hours/Duration

100%, permanent employment (probationary period may be applied). 2 preschool teacher positions.
