Are you our new preschool teacher at one of Gällivare Municipality’s preschools?

As a preschool teacher in Gällivare Municipality, we can offer you meaningful and varied work with excellent opportunities for professional growth. Gällivare Municipality has a total of 14 preschools, both in the central town and throughout our rural villages. We actively work to promote children’s learning through language development, nature experiences, and cultural awareness. Our preschools are linguistically and culturally diverse and offer a rich and varied learning environment tailored to the children’s needs and interests.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, your main responsibilities will be:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction that promotes children’s development toward the curriculum’s goals.
• Supporting each child in their individual learning process and creating a safe and inclusive environment.
• Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to create the best possible conditions for each child’s learning.
• Participating in the center’s development efforts and contributing to the realization of our shared vision.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified and licensed preschool teacher and also welcome applications from those who have started or are about to complete their preschool teacher training. As a preschool teacher, you should be responsible and demonstrate clear leadership within the group of children; you should find it easy to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Commitment, a solution-oriented mindset, flexibility, innovation, and a strong ability to collaborate are qualities we highly value in our work; we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

An extract from the police’s record of suspicions and criminal convictions is required.

Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish under the National Minority Languages Act. Knowledge of any of these languages is considered an asset when applying for employment with Gällivare Municipality.

Work Hours/Duration

Full-time or part-time based on your preferences; we offer seasonal employment

Salary

Monthly salary; Gällivare Municipality uses an individual salary-setting system. Please include your salary expectations in your application!
