We are looking for a principal for our schools in the countryside of Gällivare municipality, Hakka school (F-9), Emma school (F-6) and Puoltikasvaara school (F-6). We are constantly developing our teaching and learning environments to give students the best possible conditions for learning. We develop close relationships and dare to succeed and fail together. Duties

As a principal, you have, with the support of a 20% deputy principal, the overall responsibility for ensuring that the activities in the countryside are conducted in accordance with the goals of the curriculum and the mission as a whole. You have overall responsibility for staff, finances, work environment and business development in your units. The work is based on the shared values of Gällivare municipality. As a principal, you are directly subordinate to the head of administration and are part of the administration's management team with other principals within the administration.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with completed principal training or pedagogical training and experience of working in schools. The position requires pedagogical insight through both education and experience. Experience of similar work is considered a merit. You should have the ability to be a pedagogical leader as well as good interpersonal skills for contacts both internally and externally. Being creative and open to new ideas and being able to support staff and stimulate the pedagogical work is important. We attach great importance to personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
