Do you want to be involved in leading one of the most important development work in Swedish welfare? We are now looking for a project manager to take over where the previous project manager left off and who wants to drive and coordinate Gällivare municipality's continued work on implementing the new Social Services Act.
We are looking for a committed project manager who will lead and support the implementation of the new Social Services Act within the Social Administration. You who apply will have a management responsibility without staff responsibility. The position is subordinate to the Head of Administration within the Social Administration.
Duties
In the role of project manager, you will coordinate and lead the municipality's efforts to adapt to the new Social Services Act, which aims to create a long-term, sustainable, more preventive and knowledge-based social service. You will provide support and guidance to the administration's employees in the transition to the new Social Services Act and to be able to work with the transition, good knowledge of the Social Services Act and the changes that are underway is needed.
Your assignment is cross-administrative and covers all areas of social services. You will work on behalf of the Head of Social Services / Head of Administration based on the transition plan towards the new Social Services Act to be implemented throughout the administration.
The administration has a Social Responsibility Coordinator (SAS) / quality developer who will also be involved in the work together with you to drive the transition to the new Social Services Act from a holistic perspective.
The work includes:
-Plan, lead and implement the changes to be implemented locally linked to the transition.
- Communicate ongoing work internally within the organization
- Develop documentation to put the new Social Services Act into practice
- As project manager, you will work with managers within the administration to develop models and methods for implementing the new Social Services Act.
- Responsible for training sessions and skills development in the area
- Drive and lead improvement work and be a method supporter in the process work that is underway and / or to be started
- Monitor the needs and opportunities of digital solutions
- External monitoring, participation in various networks
The assignment may evolve and change while the transition is underway, based on needs and decisions made.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work or other equivalent education assessed by the employer. You have good knowledge of the social services mission and current social services law. You need to have the ability to monitor the outside world and drive the development work of changing work from, among other things, heavy authority exercise to the preventive and early work.
It is an advantage if you have experience of supervision/project management or previous experience of development work and work management. It is also meritorious if you have experience from several areas of activity in social services such as the exercise of authority and enforcement.

You have the ability to see the big picture and take into account the overall perspective. Requirement for a B driving license
Strong emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
Working hours/Duration
Project employment during the period 260115-261231 with possible extension. The position can be combined with a permanent position as a social worker that takes over after the end of the project.
