Description of activities

The Adapted Comprehensive School is for grades 1-9 and is located at Hedskolan and Sjöparksskolan. The staff includes both special educators/special teachers and student assistants.

We provide students with intellectual disabilities with an education adapted to them. The teaching is based on each student's needs and conditions.

A recreational center is available in the business.

Duties

You will assist a student or a group of students who may have different needs, physical or social needs. You will be in the classroom with the teacher, helping to ensure that all students achieve their goals. You assist and provide care to the student in the activities that take place both in school and at leisure time in close interaction with educators and the student's guardians.

You will also be at the leisure center that is in the business, at the opening and / or after school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an upper secondary education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Meritorious if you have knowledge or experience of working with those who have NPF diagnoses. As a person, you should have a present and responsive approach to students' different needs, create commitment and participation, be a clear leader and have good collaboration skills. You are independent, responsible and able to take your own initiatives. We develop our work through pedagogical conversations and collegial learning and see it as a strength to be able to help each other to dare to be curious about new ways of working.

Before employment, an extract from the police's criminal record is required.

Strong emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. Probationary period may apply.
