
Description of Operations
The Social Services Administration carries out activities mandated by law in accordance with the Social Services Act, the Health and Medical Care Act, and the Act on Support and Services for Certain Persons with Disabilities. Based on democratic principles, the Social Services Administration shall promote people’s economic and social security, equality in living conditions, and active participation in society, while also providing quality care, health and medical care, and services to older adults, people with disabilities, and others who need societal support.
The Social Services Administration consists of the Assistance Unit, the Department of Health and Social Care, the Department of Functional Support, the Department of Home Care, as well as the Management Support Organization and the Health and Medical Care Organization. As a Quality and Education Nurse, you will combine clinical work with development work in the area of patient safety within the Health and Medical Care Organization of Gällivare Municipality. You will be part of our healthcare management team alongside the nurse in charge of medical care, the rehabilitation coordinator, the unit manager, and the operations manager. The unit’s mission focuses on special housing for the elderly, LSS (Support and Service Act), and patients living in community-based housing.

The role of Quality and Education Nurse will be entirely operational, with responsibility for coordinating the quality assurance work carried out by the Health and Medical Care Organization. The position includes two areas of responsibility: you’ll focus partly on quality assurance and partly on clinical work within the organization. You’ll work closely with the Medical Director (MAS), the unit manager, and registered nurses to ensure quality and patient safety at the operational level.

Permanent, full-time (100%) position. Work hours: mornings, afternoons, weekends. A probationary period may apply.
