We are now looking for a Quality Developer who wants to play a key role in strengthening quality within our preschools and schools. With us, you’ll have a strategic and varied role where you’ll work closely with administrative leadership, principals, and operations to create the conditions for children’s and students’ learning and development. As a quality developer, you will be part of the Children and Education Administration’s staff and work directly under the direction of the administrative director. You will be part of the department’s management team and play a central role in developing, coordinating, and following up on the systematic quality work within the department.

The position involves close collaboration with school principals, managers, political leadership, and other functions within the municipality. You will serve as a qualified resource for development and quality issues and help translate national and municipal goals into concrete operational development.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of Quality Developer, your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating, developing, and following up on systematic quality assurance efforts in preschools and schools.

  • Support principals and managers in analysis, follow-up, and development work.
  • Prepare documentation, analyses, reports, and decision-making materials for management and the board.
  • Drive and coordinate the administration’s work based on the Education Act and curricula.
  • Develop and quality-assure routines, working methods, and processes.
  • Be responsible for monitoring results, statistics, and key performance indicators, and translate these into development initiatives.
  • Coordinate work related to government grants, including applications, follow-up, and reporting.
  • Conduct investigations, draft responses to consultations, and other specialized written communications.
  • A variety of administrative tasks

The position offers a combination of strategic development work, analysis, and operational support.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant higher education, preferably with a focus on education and pedagogy or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

We would like you to have experience in:

  • Quality and development work.
  • Follow-up, analysis, and operational development.
  • Working in a politically governed organization or public sector.
  • Project management or process management.
  • Preparing reports, studies, and decision-making documentation.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience in school or educational activities.
  • Knowledge of school legislation and systematic quality assurance work.
  • Strong skills in statistics, analysis, and digital tools.
  • Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a plus when applying for a position in Gällivare Municipality.
