Business description

Hakkas skola in the village of Hakkas is a spacious primary school in the countryside of Gällivare municipality. It includes a preschool class, after-school care center and grades 1-9. The school has 75 pupils who come from Hakkas and the surrounding villages. The school has close access to a swimming pool and large natural areas that are used in all the pupils' activities. Hakkas school is a small school where we develop close relationships and dare to succeed and fail together. Our vision is "For a future where everything is possible!". We want to give students the skills and knowledge to learn so they can create their own future. We are constantly developing our teaching and learning environments to give students the best possible conditions for learning.

Hakka's school has been granted an ERASMUS+ accreditation for 2021-2027. This means continuous cooperation projects with other schools around Europe with the possibility of travel within the service for all participating educators. The goals of the work with ERASMUS + are; to collaborate with other schools in Europe that have similar challenges as we have, to strengthen students' motivation to read several languages, to further develop distance learning and to give students and teachers the opportunity to see their own hometown from new perspectives.

Arbetsuppgifter

Your mission as a teacher in after-school care / after-school educator at Hakka's school will be to lead and drive the educational work in the after-school care together with other educators based on the curriculum and other governing documents. As a teacher in the after-school program, you will have an important role in the daily activities where you, with a conscious approach, enable the students to discover and develop their abilities in a versatile way. An important part of the work is to work to ensure that all children are seen and feel that they have a natural place at the school and after-school center. You are responsible for providing children with a learning, challenging, meaningful, creative and exciting play and learning environment. Together with your colleagues, you conduct an ongoing pedagogical dialog with a desire to change, deepen and develop.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a teacher in after-school care, leisure educator. We would like to see that you have previous experience of working in a group of children. You have a positive approach and interest in developing working methods and sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues. Cooperation with pupils, guardians and other staff is important for the work. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
