
Job Description
As a registrar, you will work in the Committee and Investigation Division, which is part of the Support and Development Administration. The division plays a central role in the municipality and is responsible for several important support functions, including committee administration, archival services, specialized investigations, and guardianship services.

This position is newly created as part of our long-term development efforts and will primarily focus on Gällivare Municipality’s administrative office and the Guardianship Board.
Job Responsibilities
The role of registrar involves skilled and diverse administrative work. Your duties will include, among other things:
You will also provide support and training in document management and the municipality’s case management processes, and work with your colleagues to drive development in this area. The position also includes planning and conducting general elections.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with relevant college education and/or experience in specialized administrative work that the employer deems equivalent.
You work independently, in a structured and service-oriented manner, and are comfortable using the IT tools that support your work. Your Swedish, both spoken and written, is of high quality, and you are accustomed to navigating regulations, legislation, and internal policy documents.
As a person, you are communicative and responsive, with a professional demeanor. You see the big picture without losing focus on quality and legal certainty in the details.
Knowledge of municipal and administrative law, public access to information and confidentiality, as well as experience with record-keeping and document management in the public sector, is a plus.
Gällivare Municipality is an administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish under the Act on National Minorities and Minority Languages. Knowledge of any of these languages is considered an asset for employment.
