Job Description
As a social worker, you are part of the Social Assistance Unit’s public administration, which aims to benefit Gällivare and be easy to work with.
The Adult Services Section consists of three areas, one of which is Social Psychiatry Services. The target group for social psychiatry is individuals aged 18 and older who have a mental disability that causes significant difficulties in daily life and who have a long-term need for support.

Job Responsibilities
As a social worker, you will receive applications, gather information for case investigations, make decisions, and follow up on all ongoing decisions. You must be able to express yourself well both verbally and in writing to investigate, document, and maintain records. We use the Pulsen Combine case management system for all documentation. You also need to be able to plan your daily work independently and establish a structure for your daily routine, together with the team. The role also involves cross-sectoral collaboration with your manager, colleagues, other government agencies, municipalities, and other funding bodies.
Qualifications
The role requires:
- A degree in social work or other equivalent education deemed equivalent by the employer
- Strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
- Class B driver’s license

Desirable Qualifications

Work Hours/Duration
Full-time, permanent position. The Social Assistance Unit operates on a reduced workweek, with a weekly work schedule of 35.92 hours. The position includes on-call duty. A probationary period may apply.
