In Gällivare municipality, we have a unit with all authority exercise in the social services areas. We are now looking for social workers who want to work with the exercise of authority within Children and Young People. We invest in close leadership and have a coordinator for, among other things, supervision.

The operations for children and young people consist of social secretaries who investigate children and young people, family law, family home care, outpatient care, LSS and family counseling.

Work tasks

As a social secretary in children and young people, you work mainly with SoL and LVU. You work with families based on reports received or applications from guardians or young people. The tasks include working with follow-up for children and young people in open efforts that the unit's outpatient care implements but also follow-ups of placements in family homes and HVB.

We strive to provide families with support at an early stage and as far as possible we work with home placement solutions. The work includes collaboration with other colleagues in our business as well as collaboration internally and externally.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a social worker degree. As a social worker, you should have good knowledge of current legislation and have a humanistic view of people. It is an advantage if you have previous experience of the work, have training in BBIC, MI, Sign of safety, Childtalk or other relevant in-depth knowledge.

You should be able to work independently but also enjoy working in a group and be able to maintain good relationships. You are service-oriented, solution-focused and have a flexible attitude as the work can involve urgent decisions. You need to be confident in yourself and have the ability to set limits and have a professional approach. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Driving license B is required.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Extra bonus for three years

Gällivare municipality offers those who have social worker training an extra bonus when employed as a social worker in a children's group at the assistance unit.

After employment for at least one year, a bonus is paid as below. No compensation is thus paid for a shorter period.

Employment minimum:

1 year bonus SEK 35,000

2 year bonus SEK 40,000

3 year bonus SEK 45,000

To be able to take part in the bonus, you must have a permanent position and be in service for at least one year. (This includes any probationary period of 6 months).

Working hours / Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. The service includes on-call duty.

Probationary employment may be applied.

Weekly working hours 35.91 hours/week and one day off after on-call during the weekend
