Description of activities

In Gällivare municipality there are a total of 9 primary schools both in the central town and around our villages in the countryside. In Gällivare municipality's primary school, in addition to basic teachers, there are also first teachers, special educators, special teachers, counselors, school nurses, class mentors, student assistants / resource. In grades 1-6 there are also class mentors at our schools and in the urban area there are school hosts in grades 7-9. When you start a new position as a teacher in Gällivare municipality, you are offered supervision by an experienced teacher for 1 year, a mentor who will act as a support for you in your new position.

Tasks

The starting point for you as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation and value base work based on the curriculum. The work is done both independently and together with colleagues at the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a teacher with authorization to teach Spanish. You need to have knowledge to handle computer and technology in your daily work. You should be responsible, clear and driven and have an easy time creating good relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. Commitment, innovation, a solution-oriented approach, interest and ability to cooperate are qualities that the school values. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Extracts from the criminal record are required for employment.

Working hours/Duration

Part-time, full-time if you combine teaching at several schools or have a license in any subject that can be combined with at the school, permanent employment. Probationary period may apply.
