Business description

Tallbackaskolan is a F-6 school with about 350 students as well as an after-school department and two preparatory classes, located in a residential area between Gällivare and Malmberget. At Tallbackaskolan we work with parts of the Gällivare model, which means that in each class in grades 1-2 there is a teacher responsible for teaching and a class mentor. The after-school program is a complement to the school where students' abilities are developed through various forms of expression and based on the students' interests.

Tasks

We are now looking for a special educator. Do you want to be involved in developing the knowledge of all our students through close cooperation with the school's other staff? Then you are the person we are looking for. We are looking for you who are a trained special educator. You should have knowledge of learning problems in students, be able to adapt your approach and have knowledge of mapping based on the student's age and development level. You are required to have in-depth knowledge of reading and writing difficulties and neuropsychiatric disabilities. You also need to have knowledge of students in need of special support and experience of working with children and young people in need of special support.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a teaching license and further education in special education. Experience from special education work is an advantage. You should be responsible, clear and driven and have an easy time creating good relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. Commitment, solution focus, innovative thinking, interest in and ability to collaborate are qualities that the school values Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
