Business description Hakkas school in the village of Hakkas is a spacious primary school in the countryside of Gällivare municipality. It covers pre-school classes, after-school classes and primary school years 1-9. The school has 78 students from Hakkas and the surrounding villages, with some moving in. The school has close access to bathhouses and large natural areas that are used in all the students' activities. Hakka's school has been granted an ERASMUS+ accreditation for 2021-2027. This means continuous collaborative projects with other schools around Europe with the possibility of travel within the service for all participating educators. The goals of the ERASMUS+ work are to collaborate with other schools in Europe that have similar challenges to ours, to strengthen the students' motivation to read several languages, to further develop distance learning and to give students and teachers the opportunity to look at their own home region from new perspectives. Emmaskolan in Mettä Dokkas is a growing primary school in one of the rural areas of Gällivare municipality. It covers pre-school classes, after-school classes and primary school years 1-6. The school has 48 students from Dokkas, Mettä Dokkas, Leipojärvi and surrounding villages, with steady influx. Next to the school is the newly built Emma preschool with two departments. The school has close access to large natural areas that are used in all the students' activities. Hakka's school and Emma's school are smaller schools where we develop close relationships and dare to succeed and fail together. Our vision is "For a future where everything is possible!" We want to give students knowledge and the knowledge to learn so they can create their own future. We are constantly developing the teaching and our learning environments so that the students are given the best possible conditions for learning. Job duties The position is full-time until further notice and you will be employed as a special education teacher. You will supervise and work together with educators who teach students in grades F-9. Together you are responsible for the students' learning. You work with promotion, prevention and remedial measures so that the students reach as far as possible in relation to the goals. You will lead and drive the development of our special education efforts, help to plan, implement and evaluate special education based on the needs of the individual students. As a special pedagogue, you coordinate the pedagogues' work with pedagogical mapping and make the special pedagogic assessment and analysis of the student's needs. Furthermore, it includes collaboration with staff within our central student health and other collaboration partners, such as social services, children's rehabilitation and BUP. We are looking for you who is a qualified special educator for primary school. You find it easy to create good relationships with children, guardians and colleagues. You are open to different ways of working and are flexible in working with others. You are used to using digital tools and compensatory aids. You have an interest in and knowledge of systematic quality work and a habit of analyzing and evaluating results as a basis for improvement work. You are a present, responsive, clear and organized person who acts without prestige and has an ability to create commitment, trust and participation. You are structured and work goal-oriented and you have good linguistic, written and analytical skills. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. It is possible to carry out the work remotely with remote supervision by teachers as well as through connected work meetings with the principal and other management.
