Business description

Hedskolan is a 3-paralellig f-6 school with adapted primary school. We have about 500 students and 100 employees. We are centrally located in Gällivare municipality with walking distance to the sports hall, the bathhouse, etc. Hedskolan has a well-developed approach to collegial learning that covers all parts of the curriculum. We can thus offer continuous skills development by driven process leaders, PAX and IBIS instructors and IT educators. The adapted primary school is divided both into subjects / subject areas and into stages.

Work tasks

As a special teacher at Hedskolan's adapted primary school, you will conduct a teaching that puts the student's learning at the center. You are a committed teacher who can inspire and motivate students in their knowledge development. You take the pupils' perspective as your starting point when you, together with other staff and management, organize, run and develop the school. As a special needs teacher with us, you help create opportunities where all students are offered the opportunity to achieve the goals and where learning is perceived as meaningful, stimulating and enjoyable. You are also responsible for ensuring that the students in your teaching group are challenged based on their conditions to develop towards their full potential.

Qualifications

Legitimized special education teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities. You should be responsible, clear and driven and have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. Commitment, solution focus, innovative thinking, interest in and ability to collaborate are qualities that the school values. Previous work with students with NPF is an advantage. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
