Gällivare municipality is undergoing a major social transformation, which means an exciting development for the community and for the school, we are moving communities, we are building new schools, repairing others, new multiarena and new housing will be ready in the near future. We have been working for a number of years on school structure to bring the secondary school into one school. We also have schools for grades F-6 of varying sizes in the community and in the countryside.

Hedskolan is a nice F-6 school and adapted primary school with about 500 students, located in a residential area close to the center. The proximity to both the forest and ski trails is tangible and is used extensively by students and teachers in teaching and at breaks. The work teams are divided into stages and grades with close cooperation around all our students. The atmosphere is characterized by openness and curiosity about new ways of working. We place great emphasis on pedagogical discussions and collegial learning, which is the driving force in our development work. The school's profile is movement and outdoor life.

Tasks

As a student assistant, you are responsible for supporting students during the school day based on the individually established goals and plans. You assist and provide care to the student in the activities that take place both in school and in leisure time in close interaction with educators and the student's guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an upper secondary education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Meritorious if you have knowledge of or experience of working with those with NPF diagnoses. As a person, you should be positive, have a present and responsive approach to students' different needs. You create commitment and participation, are a clear leader and have good collaboration skills. You are also flexible, independent, responsible and able to take initiative. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
