
Business description
The Labor Market Unit consists of six different workplaces and its primary mission is to help people outside the regular labor market increase their chances of getting a job in the open labor market. A first step towards that goal can be to be temporarily assigned to the Labor Market Unit, where there are good opportunities to try out work and gain insight into one's own abilities. It is also a good place for new arrivals to meet Swedes and through that get training in the Swedish language and understanding of Swedish customs. The Labor Market Unit's largest collaboration partner is the Swedish Public Employment Service, but collaboration also takes place with several other parties.
Work tasks
In your role as a supervisor, you will mainly work at our recycling market Alltinget and be actively involved and work closely with those who are assigned to the unit. You will supervise by verbally and practically conveying how tasks can be performed. In addition to the practical work, you will also be a help to foreign-born people who need training in Swedish and gain knowledge of cultural differences. An important part of the work is to report income and expenses to the financial unit and handle invoices in our financial system.
Qualifications
You have experience and interest in working with people from different backgrounds and with varying physical and mental limitations. You have at least a secondary education and it is a plus if you have some form of educational training or experience in the educational field. You are computer literate and have a good command of the Office package. You are service-oriented and experience from a service profession with customer contact is a merit. You have a B driving license and good driving skills. You can adapt quickly when conditions change and you enjoy doing many different things. You like to take initiative and are solution-oriented. You can work both independently and in a team. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration
Working hours weekdays 07.00 - 16.00. The service is full-time 6 months probationary employment with the possibility of permanent employment.
