The Department of Functional Support offers support and services to children, young people and adults with disabilities. We work on the basis of LSS and the Social Services Act to strengthen the individual's independence, security and participation.
The department includes daily activities, housing with special service, housing for social support, support and service housing, short-term housing for children, leisure activities, relief and companion services and personal assistance.The Department of Functional Support makes a real difference in people's everyday lives, and creates the conditions for an independent and meaningful life for everyone.
Work tasks
As a support assistant at Björken's group home, you will provide individually designed support to the users. You will guide the user in daily life and work in a structured way based on their needs and according to the goals and intentions of the law.
As a support assistant, you work both independently and in collaboration with other professionals. You also have the task of contact person and this includes establishing / following up and working on the basis of the user's implementation plan together with the user, other professionals and representatives. We use the Pulsen Combine documentation system in our operations. Your work also includes supervising/supporting/following up on and planning activities and providing support to the user in the care of their home. In the business there are common areas and premises that you together with the others in the work group are responsible for.
Qualifications
You have nursing education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge and experience in the field of disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism, psychiatry or of methodology adapted for people with functional variations is an advantage. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in the Swedish language and also be able to document according to current legislation.
As a person, you are safe and secure in your role and have a good ability to act in a professional manner in all situations that arise. The work involves physical activities together with users and you must therefore have basic physical ability and an interest in planning and carrying out activities. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. An extract from the criminal record is a requirement. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
