The Department of Disability is an area within the social services that provides support and service to certain disabled people. The activities are based on LSS (the law on support and service to certain disabled people).

Work tasks
As a support assistant in the department for disabilities, you should be able to provide individually designed support. You will guide the user in daily life and work in a structured way based on their needs and according to the goals and intentions of the law. You must be able to work both independently and in collaboration with others and also have a professional approach and treatment. You also have the task of contact person and this includes establishing/following up and working on the basis of the implementation plan together with the user, other professionals and representatives. We use the Combine documentation system in our operations. Your work also includes guiding/supporting/following up on and planning activities and providing support to the user in the care of their home. In the business there are common areas and premises that you, together with the others in the work group, are responsible for.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with nursing education with a focus on disabilities or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge of disability / developmental disorder / autism and training / experience of various methodologies adapted for people with disabilities is an advantage. You should have knowledge of documentation according to current legislation. As a person, you are calm, confident and secure in your role and have a good ability to act in a professional manner in all situations that arise. The activities involve physical activities with users and you must therefore have basic physical ability and an interest in planning and carrying out activities. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
Working hours/Duration
100% until further notice
Working hours are scheduled day/evening and weekend.
Probationary employment may be applied.
