
Description of Operations
The Functional Support Department offers support and services to children, youth, and adults with disabilities. We work in accordance with the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS) and the Social Services Act to strengthen individuals’ independence, security, and participation. The department provides daily activities, special-service housing, housing for social support, supported and service housing, short-term housing for children, recreational activities, respite and companion services, and personal assistance. The Functional Support Department makes a real difference in people’s daily lives and creates the conditions for an independent and meaningful life for everyone.
Job Responsibilities
As a support assistant at Fjällsippan, you will work to ensure good living conditions based on each user’s needs, circumstances, and interests. You will support the client in their daily life by working according to the implementation plans that are established and based on the organization’s guidelines and objectives.The position also includes serving as a liaison, where you will work with the client, other professionals, and representatives to develop and follow up on the work based on the implementation plan. We use the Pulsen Combine documentation system in our operations. Your work also includes supervising, supporting, monitoring, and planning activities, as well as providing support to the client in the care of their home. The facility has common areas and premises for which you, together with the work team, are responsible.
Qualifications
You have nursing training or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Knowledge and experience in the field of disability care are advantageous. You must be able to work independently and in collaboration with other staff, and have a positive and professional demeanor. You must be able to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and have strong digital skills. As a person, you are confident and assured in your role and have a strong ability to act professionally in all situations that arise. The work involves physical activities with service users, so you must have basic physical ability and an interest in planning and carrying out activities. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a plus when applying for a job with Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration
Full-time position (100%), Permanent position. A probationary period may apply. Work takes place: day/evening/night/weekend.
