The Department of Functional Support offers support and services to children, young people and adults with disabilities. We work on the basis of LSS and the Social Services Act to strengthen the individual's independence, security and participation. The department includes daily activities, housing with special service, housing for social support, support and service housing, short-term housing for children, leisure activities, relief and companion services and personal assistance. The Department of Functional Support makes a real difference in people's everyday lives, and creates the conditions for an independent and meaningful life for everyone.
Work tasks
As a support assistant at Solkatten, you support children, young people and adults who have interventions according to LSS. We act as a complement to the home and at the same time give relatives relief. With us, joy, participation and the needs of the individual are at the center. We offer short-term stay and short-term supervision / leisure activities.
The work is varied and involves both nursing work and leisure activities with the individual. You will help create a meaningful and safe stay where the activities are shaped according to the individual's specific strengths, interests and needs. You have the task of contact person and this includes establishing, following up and working on the basis of the user's implementation plan together with the user, other professionals and representatives. In the business, we use the Pulsen Combine documentation system.
Qualifications
You have education in health and social care, children and leisure or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge and experience in the field of disability, developmental disabilities, psychiatry or methodology adapted for people with disabilities is an advantage. The work involves physical activities and you should therefore have basic physical ability and an interest in planning and carrying out activities. You should have good digital skills and be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in the Swedish language. We are looking for you who have good cooperation skills, are flexible, responsive and have a low-effective approach. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours / Duration
Full-time employment 100%. Day/evening/night/weekend. Probationary period can be applied.
