Description of activities
The Department of Disability is an area within the social services that provides support and services to certain
disabled people. The activities are based on LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). Föreningsgatan's group home is a home according to LSS.
Work tasks
As a support assistant in the disability department, you must be able to provide individually designed support. You must
guide the user in daily life and work in a structured manner based on their needs and according to the goals and intentions of the law. You must be able to work both independently and in collaboration with others and also have a professional approach and treatment. You also have the task of contact person and this includes establishing/following up and working on the basis of the implementation plan together with the user, other professionals and representatives. In the business, we use the Combine documentation system. Your work also includes guiding/supporting/following up on and planning activities and providing support to the user in the care of their home. There are common areas and premises in the facility that you and the rest of the team are responsible for. The assignment also includes some administrative tasks such as documentation, scheduling, ordering goods, etc.
Qualifications
The work requires a theoretical basis, e.g. nursing education with a focus on disabilities or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge of disabilities/developmental disabilities/autism and training/experience in various methodologies adapted for people with disabilities is an advantage. As a person, you are confident and secure in your role and have a good ability to act in a professional manner in all situations that arise. The activities involve physical activities with users and you must therefore have basic physical ability and an interest in planning and carrying out activities. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
Working hours/duration
The working hours are scheduled day/evening and weekend shifts.
The employment rate is 100%.
