Description of activities
The Department of Disability is an area within the social services that provides support and service to certain disabled people. The activities within the department are based on LSS (the law on support and service to certain people with disabilities) and Forshedens group home is a home according to LSS.
Five users live at Forshedens group home who need support and guidance in their everyday lives according to LSS decisions. At the group home, we work based on IBIC (individual needs in the center). The staff group consists of six employees.
We are now looking for a staff member for retirement at Forsheden.
Work tasks
As a support assistant at Forsheden, you should, based on each user's individual needs and wishes, be able to support and activate in the home in accordance with LSS. You will guide the user in daily life and work in a structured way based on their needs and according to the goals and intentions of the law. The assignment includes documentation regarding the user, contact with relatives, administrators, daily activities, guardians and other activities or authorities that are important to the user, whereby cooperation and good communication skills are important. You must be able to work independently and have a professional approach and treatment. In the business, we use the Combine documentation system.
The work tasks as a support assistant consist of supportive and motivating conversations, social activities inside and outside the home, everyday chores in the user's home and immediate environment, delegated health care interventions and personal care based on individual needs. You work actively with other staff around the user to plan, carry out, follow up and evaluate the user's activities and support measures. The work includes drawing up implementation plans that are individualized for each user. Furthermore, all common tasks in a home are included. The activities include common areas and premises that you, together with others in the work group, are responsible for. The assignment also includes certain administrative tasks such as documentation, and ordering of goods, etc.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have nursing education with a focus on disabilities or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge of disability / developmental disorder / autism and training / experience of various methodologies adapted for people with disabilities is an advantage. As a person, you are confident and secure in your role and have a good ability to act in a professional manner in all situations that arise. The activities involve physical activities together with users and you must therefore have basic physical ability and an interest in planning and carrying out activities. You also take responsibility for the collective outcome and do what needs to be done for the organization to achieve its goals. Easily adapt your approach to changing circumstances. Recognize the views and skills of others and give them space in the team in a way that benefits the whole. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Driving license B is an advantage.
