Description of activities
Solkatten implements two interventions. Short-term supervision / after-school care for schoolchildren over 12 years old and short-term stay. Children/young people are entitled to short-term supervision/leisure time before and after school, during holidays, study days and longer holidays such as summer vacation. Short-term stay offers the user a change of environment, a meaningful stay individually and in groups and relief for relatives.
Work tasks
Solkatten's short-term stay and short-term supervision works with users who have interventions according to LSS. The role of the support educator is to work based on each user's needs / conditions / interests to develop the ability and opportunity for independence and participation in society through properly designed support, guidance and pedagogy. You are responsible for educational planning in consultation with other employees and the unit manager. The service includes collaboration/exchange of experience with other support educators within LSS in order to develop pedagogical working methods/methods.
Qualifications
You have a university/college education as a leisure educator/special educator/support educator or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Education and experience in the field of LSS is of great importance as well as personal suitability and work experience. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
Driving license B is a requirement

Working hours/Duration
Full-time, permanent employment. Day, evening and weekend shifts. Probationary period may apply
