Description of activities

In Gällivare municipality there are a total of 9 primary schools both in the central town and around our villages in the countryside. In addition to qualified teachers, Gällivare municipality's primary schools also have first teachers, special education teachers, special needs teachers, counselors, school nurses, class mentors, student assistants/resources. In grades 1-6, there are also class mentors at our schools

Tasks

As a teacher, you work with teaching. You prepare, plan, implement and evaluate pupils' progress and your own teaching based on the curriculum. You work in close collaboration with guardians. Most of the teachers also work as a responsible mentor in a class.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching license in SVA.

You should be responsible and have a clear leadership in the classroom, as well as having easy to create good relationships with students, guardians and colleagues. Commitment, solution focus, flexibility, innovative thinking, interest in and ability to collaborate are qualities that Gällivare municipality's primary school values. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Extracts from the police criminal record are a requirement - presented before employment.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is an administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. Probationary period may apply.
