Description of activities

Myranskolan is a f-6 school and covers about 130 students. The school also includes after-school activities with two departments. Myranskolan is located in the middle of Koskullskulle, 10 minutes from the center of Gällivare with nature around the corner. The atmosphere at the school is characterized by care and closeness and the work is always done with the students' best interests in mind. We place great emphasis on educational development and are working to give the school a clearer character of a health school, where physical education is an important part. The business is very pleased that in the coming school year we will be strengthened with class mentors, which means one more adult in all classes from grades 1 -6.

Work tasks

You will work with planning, teaching, evaluation and value-based work based on the curriculum. The work is done both independently and together with colleagues. You manage the everyday contact with students, colleagues and guardians. You actively participate in the school's joint development work together with colleagues at and outside your own school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher with a teaching license for the early years of primary school, 1-6, or other equivalent education and who want to work on a smaller unit, in a quiet atmosphere! We believe that you are positive, create commitment, participation and see to the needs of each student. As a person, you are responsive and create good relationships, both with students, colleagues and with guardians. In your work with students, you are clear in your leadership. We also believe that you are innovative and interested in school development and we place great value in the ability to interact and collaborate. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Full-time, daytime, permanent employment. Probationary period may be applied.
