Description of activities

The Adapted Comprehensive School is for grades 1-9 and is located at Hedskolan and Sjöparksskolan. The staff includes both special educators/special teachers and student assistants.

We provide students with intellectual disabilities with an education adapted to them. The teaching is based on each student's needs and conditions.

Free time is available in the business.

Work tasks

A house substitute's mission is to go in and substitute for absent staff at adapted primary school, for example as a teacher or student assistant. You are usually based on a completed lesson plan and the assignment is very varied. You will cover absences from primary to secondary school. As a house substitute, you also work at adapted primary school after-school centers.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with at least upper secondary education and meritorious is to have worked with children / students in different contexts. If you have worked with children with different diagnoses, it is an advantage. We are looking for you who are flexible and have a present and responsive approach to students' different needs, are a clear leader and have good collaboration skills. You are independent, responsible and able to take your own initiative. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Before employment, an extract from the police's criminal record is required, which is assessed before employment.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. Probationary period may apply.
