Description of activities

In Gällivare municipality there are a total of 9 primary schools both in the central town and around our villages in the countryside. In Gällivare municipality's primary school, in addition to basic teachers, there are also first teachers, special educators, special teachers, counselor, school nurse, class mentors, student assistants / resource. In grades 1-6 there are also class mentors at our schools and in the urban area there are school hosts in grades 7-9

Work tasks

A house substitute's mission is to go in and substitute for absent staff at the school, for example as a teacher, student assistant or class mentor. You are usually based on a completed lesson plan and the assignment is very varied. You will cover absences in primary or middle school. As a house substitute, you also work in the afternoons at the after-school center.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with at least upper secondary education and meritorious is to have worked with children / students in different contexts. We are looking for you who are flexible and have a present and responsive approach to the different needs of students, are a clear leader and have good collaboration skills. You are independent, responsible and able to take your own initiative. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

For employment, an extract from the police's criminal record is required.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. Probationary period may apply.
